Karkinos is a family crab business in Bear, DE. We keep this simple: we only collect what we need to run the giveaway and let you know about fresh crabs, and we never sell your information. This policy explains what we collect and what we do with it.
What we collect
When you enter the giveaway on this site, you give us:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your phone number
That’s it. We don’t require an account, and we don’t use advertising trackers. Our host keeps standard server logs (like the type of device and the time of a visit) to keep the site running and secure.
How we use it
- To enter you in the giveaway and contact you if you win.
- To send occasional text messages about fresh catches, hours, and upcoming giveaways — only if you’ve entered or asked to hear from us.
- To answer you when you call or message us.
Text messages
By entering the giveaway you agree we may text you about the giveaway and our crabs. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. You can stop the texts at any time by replying STOP, or get help by replying HELP. We do not share your phone number with anyone for their own marketing.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent your information. We share it only with:
- Service providers that run the site and store the data on our behalf (our website host and our database provider), under their own security and privacy terms.
- Law enforcement or others when we’re legally required to, or to protect our rights and safety.
The giveaway is announced on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. Those platforms have their own privacy policies, and the giveaway is not sponsored, endorsed, or administered by any of them.
How long we keep it
We keep your entry information while you’re on our giveaway and text list. Ask us to remove you and we’ll delete it, usually within 30 days, except anything we’re required to keep.
Your choices
- Reply STOP to any text to stop receiving messages.
- Ask us what we have about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by getting in touch below.
Children
This site and the giveaway are for adults 18 and older. We don’t knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child gave us their information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we’ll update the date at the top. Big changes will be posted here on the site.
